Rivertown: The Spin-Off (Part 22)

Me: Meanwhile Ayame has fallen pregnant again, this time with decaplets, and it has taken a toll on her body that she had to be bedridden. As her belly grew, her older children took over the responsibility of the household, caring for their mother and rebuilding and renovating the temple with the help of the mysterious foxes and other forest creatures

Ayame's fragile form lay in a bed adorned with makeshift comfort, her body burdened by the weight of an unprecedented pregnancy. The air in the temple carried a mixture of anticipation and worry as her older children, guided by the ethereal foxes and accompanied by a myriad of other forest creatures, took charge of their mother's care.

The temple, once abandoned and left to decay, echoed with the sounds of restoration. The laughter of the forest creatures mingled with the chatter of Ayame's children, who tirelessly worked to transform the space into a sanctuary for their family. Patches of vibrant moss and glowing flowers adorned the once cold stone surfaces, and the atmosphere became infused with a gentle, otherworldly glow.

In Ayame's bedside vigil, the mysterious foxes remained steadfast companions, their eyes reflecting both ancient wisdom and an understanding of the cosmic forces at play. They watched over her, occasionally nuzzling against her hand or offering a comforting presence that transcended the boundaries of the mortal and mystical realms.

As Ayame's pregnancy progressed, the forest creatures demonstrated an unexpected affinity for household tasks. With a harmonious blend of magic and mundane effort, they crafted cradles and decorated the temple with intricate patterns that seemed to dance with eldritch energy. The once-dormant aura of the temple now pulsed with a warmth that defied the ominous circumstances surrounding Ayame's predicament.

The older children, fueled by determination and the desire to protect their mother, undertook their newfound responsibilities with grace and resilience. Each day, they forged deeper connections with the forest creatures, learning the secrets of the eldritch realm that had become an integral part of their lives.

As Ayame's condition grew increasingly delicate, the temple transformed into a haven of unity between mortals and mystical beings. The impending birth of the decaplets cast a surreal glow over the sanctuary, as if the cosmic forces were holding their breath, waiting for a revelation that would redefine the destiny woven into Ayame's complex journey.
